Annie O’Hare is the chef / owner of The York Social, the place for high quality comfort fare (York Avenue/81 Street) in Yorkville. After attending The Culinary Institute of America in upstate New York she travelled to France and Spain where she cooked classic French and New Basque cuisine with renowned chefs Michel Rostang and Juan Mari Arzak.
Upon returning to New York, she cooked in some of New York’s top kitchens before she opened her own restaurant on the Upper West Side.
Her most recent venture, The York Social, offers a broad selection of freshly baked goods, sandwiches, salads and contemporary American fare. Chef O’Hare also has a catering business O Cuisine @ The York Social and provides private chef services to select clients.
